She has a BA in theatrical design from Arizona State University and an MFA in design from the University of California, Irvine. Strictly hands on, she has worked as a draftsman (CAD and hand), carpenter, welder, Scenic Artist, Graphic Designer and property master at various theaters in California, Arizona and New York. She moved to Los Angeles in 2002 and has been working nonstop in film and television ever since. She's been Production Designer or Art Director on over seventy-five projects all over the United States: Los Angeles, New York, New Jersey, Shreveport, Baton Rouge, Atlanta, Reno, Las Vegas, Austin, Albuquerque and Puerto Rico to name a few, as well as in Monaco and France. Equally at home with paint and brush or computer, she draws using both digital technology and traditional design techniques. She has also danced in a Super Bowl halftime show. OANA B. MILLER was born in Bucharest and raised in Romania, Algeria, Austria, New York and New Jersey. In high school, she discovered a knack for art and design, so she headed to Syracuse University on a scholarship to study interior design and architecture. When she moved to Los Angeles in the early 1990s, she slipped and fell into the film business, ending up in a creature effects shop on Stargate. One thing led to another and she joined both locals 847 and 876. In 2009, she started a side venture, opening a fine art painting studio called PAINT:LAB. It's open to the public and is still in operation today in Santa Monica, CA. In 2015, she was elected Treasurer of the ADG and has been actively involved in governing the Guild. She currently lives in Calabasas, CA, right off Mulholland Highway, close to many perfect roads to ride her motorcycle. She recently married her sweetheart, who shares many of her interests and passions, filmmaking and motorcycles included. DANIEL NOVOTNY had a unique childhood, born into a caravan of traveling street performers touring Europe, Scandinavia and North Africa. Being raised by artists saturated his adolescence with experimentation and culture. Looking for a place to settle, Daniel's father began working in the visual effects model shops of Los Angeles in the 1980s and Daniel grew up around miniatures and movie sets. When his father became a Production Designer on commercials, music videos and features, Daniel's knack for drafting enabled him to draw many of the projects they built. He worked for a few seasons with Production Designer Richard Berg on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation as an Art Director before taking over as Production Designer for the next 165 episodes. Daniel considers location work to be a vacation from commuting in Los Angeles, and each job an opportunity for his family to have another adventure. When not working, he enjoys life at home in Cornell, in the Santa Monica Mountains above Malibu. Before becoming a Production Designer, DEVORAH HERBERT worked as a theater director in New York and Europe for several years. She received an MFA in directing from Columbia University, where she studied under experimental theater luminaries Andrei Serban and Anne Bogart. While at Columbia, she took a class in stage design at NYU and fell in love with the craft. She came to Los Angeles in 1998, planning to stay for just a summer but was enthralled by the bright lights of Hollywood and has been here ever since. She began her career as a Production Designer on small independent features such as Nicole Holofcener's Lovely & Amazing and Gregg Araki's Mysterious Skin and later worked on features such as David Ayer's End of Watch and several Step Up films with Jon Chu. Her first foray into television was on FX's The Riches while more recent projects include Hung for HBO, Swingtown for CBS, Revenge for ABC and, most recently, Netflix's Grace and Frankie.
