The rum giant brought 36 of them together in San Francisco recently, each from a different country, for the BACARDÍ Legacy Global Competition, and it was first-class all the way, baby. The first round of competition was held over two days, with the Grand Finale happening on the last day. In their spare time, competitors had dinners, attended a house party, went on a tour of the Bay aboard a giant yacht and, of course, made lots of unsupervised out- ings to the city's great bars. They lounged in Dolores Park. Some went to a baseball game, and they got team hats that had their names inscribed on the back.
