"SWS and American Wine & Spirits (AWS) are excited for the opportunity to represent these new additions to the TWE Family of Fine Wines. We look forward to growing the Chateau and Estates brands as part of the diverse array of the Treasury Family Wine Estates portfolio," notes Mike Dabasinskas, VP Portfolio Manager. This January, TWE held a launch event for the SWS Southern California team at the Island Hotel in Newport Beach, California. At this event, with the newly enhanced Treasury Wine Estates portfolio on display, the sales force had the opportunity to taste the new brands being added to the portfolio while receiving education on key labels. "The kickoff sessions have presented a tremendous opportunity to engage the SWS and AWS sales organizations to share the stories and strategies of the newly acquired Diageo Chateau & Estates brands," says Mark Merrion, Treasury Wine Estates Senior Vice President, U.S. Sales. Meetings included brand overviews from both sides of the business and live and virtual winemakers conducting wine tastings. TWE also brought brand ambassadors from Napa and across the U.S. to educate SWS on the newly combined TWE portfolio, including tastings and brand orientations for the participants. Mark Merrion also comments: "We received terrific feedback that the SWS teams had a great experience and introduction to these incredible new brands which will lead to success in the future. The power and opportunity of the collective Treasury Wine Estates portfolio was on full display."
