TRADE EDUCATION Broader T Reaching a Audience THE U.S. BEVERAGE ALCOHOL FORUM EXPANDS EDUCATIONAL OFFERINGS AT WSWA he Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America (WSWA) and the U.S. Drinks Conference (USDC) have created a joint partnership to offer expanded educational sessions during WSWA's 69th Annual Convention & Exposition, April 2–5, 2012, in Las Vegas. The newly created U.S. Beverage Alcohol Forum will offer business-related sessions on Thursday, April 5, 2012 from 12:30–4:30 p.m. USDC was established in 2007 by MHW, Ltd., Brand Action Team and Next Level Marketing. It is a collection of alcohol beverage service companies whose experience exceeds over 75 years of industry experience specializing in the commercialization of wine and spirit brands. "We are thrilled to continue our collaboration with USDC to create the U.S. Beverage Alcohol Forum, which will add value and commercial substance to our convention program for the second year in a row," says WSWA President and CEO Craig Wolf. "Our goal is to continu- ously improve the convention and introduce new and interesting elements for the attendees, and the business-related sessions will do just that," Wolf adds. The Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America, Inc. (WSWA) is the national trade organization representing the wholesale tier of the wine and spirits industry. It is dedicated to advancing the interests and independence of wholesale distributors and/or brokers of wine and/or spirits. Founded in 1943, WSWA has nearly 330 member companies in 50 states and the District of Columbia. Our members distribute more than 70 percent of all wines and spirits sold at wholesale in the United States. "Partnering the U.S. Drinks Conference with the WSWA Convention & Exposition to create the U.S. Beverage Alcohol Forum allows us to reach a much broader audience," says Mike Ginley, Partner of Next Level Marketing. "WSWA attracts over 2,000 attendees, people who most benefit from the type of information that we provide at the USDC, along with those people implementing practical information on the front lines." Participants who register for the WSWA Convention & Exposition will receive complimentary access to the sessions. Visit www.wswaconvention.org for registra- tion information. 32 / the tasting panel / march 2012
