Get a comprehensive building orientation Be certain your building orientations include information on procedures to use in case of student injury, specific dos and don'ts in discipline and a complete explanation of evaluation procedures and criteria. 6. Plan for student health emergencies Make an early determination about how you will handle students with special health problems. Do you know what to do if you have a student subject to epileptic seizures? What about administering medicine to students? 5. Review your personnel file Make a list of its contents. Immediately notify your rights chairperson if you discover inappropriate items. Make periodic reviews throughout the year. 4. Find your transcripts If you have earned credits for lane advancement, file the transcripts in accordance with required policy and timelines. 3.
