SPRING 2015 | WEAnews 6 Your WEA At Work Members Share Their Voice To Grow Membership Grady Hutcherson WEA Vice President & Membership Committee Greg Herold WEA Membership Organizing Specialist It's no secret that membership in organizations, all organizations from civic groups to religious groups, has Professional organizations are no different. This trend has forced groups, including the Wyoming Education members and ensuring that these voices are heard. We are happy to report that this downward trend has been leadership, and staff. WEA's rate of decline has decreased 70% over last four years. With this effort, the victories and the relationships we have fostered, this promises to be the year that our membership grows. In light of this trend, WEA has chosen to respond by turning back to the asset that makes our organization so let potential members seek us out. Instead WEA is actively changing its approach to membership by having they value most about the association. We are rediscovering that our potential members respond best to those the classroom, lunchroom, playground, or school bus. Action at the 2014 Delegate Assembly directed the formation of regional membership teams, each headed membership chair, the membership committee, and the regional UD, the regional vice president is required all members of the region, these plans are as varied as the tasks our members complete on a daily basis. We, Specialist, have met with regional teams and discussed these regional membership plans, identified strong recruiters, success here.
