ISEA Communiqué • isea.org October/November 2014 15 ISEA AT WORK A stack of printed emails sits in Iowa State Education Association headquarters waiting for delivery to the Board of Educational Examiners office. The emails came from members who responded to an ISEA question about a proposed BOEE rule which would change the way Special Education teachers are licensed in Iowa. The respondents were overwhelmingly opposed to the rule change. Copies of each email were hand-delivered to the board office along with a letter from ISEA President Tammy Wawro explaining the reasons for the opposition. You can find a copy of the letter posted on the ISEA's Facebook page. State Sen.
