She studied at the University of Wisconsin Madison for her bachelor of fi ne arts and bachelor of communication arts. During and after school, she taught art at the nonprofi t Monroe Street Fine Art Center. A chance opportunity arose, and she found herself working as an Art Director on her fi rst feature, Baraboo, directed by Mary Sweeny. This feature opened doors to more projects in Wisconsin and eventually lead her to Los Angeles where she has lived and worked as an Art Director and Production Designer since 2009. Since joining the Art Directors Guild, her career has been focused primarily on Art Direction and Production Design for hour-long television shows. These shows have taken her from Los Angeles to Dallas, Atlanta and New Orleans. C O N T R I B U T O R S K A R E N T E N E Y C K is originally from the East Coast where she received a bachelor's degree in communication design. After graduation, she worked as a Graphic Designer and Art Director at several Philadelphia fi rms before going to study theatrical Production Design at the Yale School of Drama. After moving to New York in 1992, she designed over 65 sets for many of the nation's top regional theaters and opera companies, including Manhattan Theatre Club, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, Denver Center Theatre, Austin Lyric Opera, Alabama Shakespeare Festival and South Coast Rep. However, it was her work with Los Angeles Opera that convinced her to move to Los Angeles in 2000. Since then, she has designed graphics for 50 movies, including Water for Elephants, The Aviator, Alice Through the Looking Glass, Paul Thomas Anderson's The Master, Ad Astra, Steven Spielberg's Lincoln and the upcoming Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, directed by George C.
