She brings over two decades of experience as an executive producer for production and post companies that include MPC, Ntropic, B-Reel, Nice Shoes, Partizan and Compass Films. Lausch launched Passport Films, which later became Compass Films, in 1994 to usher European talent into the US market. After selling the company, she landed at B-Reel, where she worked on a wide-range of branded projects. She made the shift to post production as executive producer at Nice Shoes and Ntropic before landing as head of new business at MPC. JEFF WHITE VFX supervisor Jeff White has taken the role of creative director of Industrial Light & Magic's Vancouver, B.C. studio. A 16-year veteran at the company, White was recently honored by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences with a Technical Achievement Award for his original design of ILM's procedural rigging system, Block Party. He was also nominated for a VFX Oscar for Kong: Skull Island. White joined ILM in 2002 as a creature technical director, working on a variety of films, including Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest and served as the ILM visual effects supervisor on Marvel's The Avengers. AYUMI ASHLEY Ntropic has hired Ayumi Ashley as colorist in its New York office. While attending the Academy of Art in San Francisco, Ashley helped forge the univer- sity's first colorist track, changing the curriculum of- ferings in the motion picture & television department to this day. She eventually co-founded Mission Film and Design, where she worked directly with Silicon Valley giants such as Google, Dropbox and Facebook, as well as with leading advertising agencies. Following her career in San Francisco, her creative spirit and desire to take on the east coast market brought her to New York. JOSEPH BELL LA visual effects studio FuseFX has appointed Joseph Bell chief operating officer and executive vice president of production. He is a veteran pro- duction executive with more than a decade of ex- perience in the VFX industry, including a wide mix of film and television work. Most recently, Bell was executive producer at CoSA VFX, where he was the company's first hire and was instrumental in scaling the business to a team of 160 people. Bell's previous experience includes roles with Industrial Light & Magic, Digital Dimension and Pixel Magic. Notable projects include Star Trek (2009), The Gifted, Minority Report (TV), Person of Interest, Fringe and Revolution. MICHAEL BENNETT LA's Laundry has opened a new location in San Francisco and hired industry veteran Michael Bennett, formerly of Ntropic, to serve as managing director. Bennett's hiring reunites him with Laundry, where he spent five years as executive producer in Los Angeles. There, he played an integral role in the company's growth from 2010 to 2015. He brings extensive experience in branded content, specifically within the disciplines of design, animation and VFX. He was most recently director of business development/ managing executive producer at finishing company Ntropic in San Francisco. JOSHUA GOTTO Lexhag Visual Effects has recently appointed Joshua Gotto as the compositing supervisor for its Soho London-based visual effects boutique. Gotto's wide range of experience across television and film spans many genres and flavors of VFX work on some of the biggest VFX shows to go through London. Having worked at many of Soho's most prominent studios, on over 30 films and tele- vision shows, Gotto brings a wealth of experience to the Lexhag team. Career highlights include working on films such as Prometheus, Wrath of the Titans, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Autopsy of Jane Doe and, more recently, The Titan which is scheduled for release later this year. MARK BURNETT The Editors has bolstered its senior roster with the signing of Mark Burnett who returns home to Australia after nine years of cutting in London, most recently at The Whitehouse. Launching his career in Sydney, working at The Post Office before joining The Editors back in 2007, Burnett moved to London in 2009 to edit at Speade, joining The Whitehouse in 2014. Burnett has won Clios, BTA Arrows, Cannes Lions and APA Crystal Awards and was behind this year's Sundance film, An Evening With Beverly Luff and Palm Springs Film Festival 2017 opening film, Edmund The Magnificent. ANNABEL BENNETT Editorial company Whitehouse Post wel- comes Annabel Bennett as executive pro- ducer of its London office. An experienced agency producer, Bennett joins Whitehouse Post after spending more than a decade producing adverts for JWT, TBWA, Publicis and Leo Burnett. In more recent years, she brought her talents to VFX working at both CherryCherry and MPC. During her career, Bennett produced work for a variety of top-tier brands including McDonald's, L'Oréal, Rimmel, HSBC and Vodafone.
