Spring 2018 | wyoea.org 2 The National Education Association (NEA) continues to improve upon a social media website on the new MyNEA360 platform: edCommunities connects educators, parents, and community members in order to share ideas and resources to improve student success. And it's free and open to all! Wyoming was among the first state affiliates to adopt NEA360, and this past fall launched the "member portal" portion of the platform. Now, WEA members can access their own data within NEA360 and customize much of your member experience. Members are using the site to connect educators, parents, and community members in groups by interest topics to collaborate through discussion and file sharing. What are you interested in? When you sign in, tell edCommunities by selecting topic categories that match your interests, and find relevant groups to follow. You'll see news and information related to the topic categories you select on the customized page the next time you sign in. You can always add or remove topic categories later. Under your "Profile" you have the ability to upload your picture, list your Professional Experience: subjects or grades you teach, awards and recognition items, licenses and certifications, and any roles for which you volunteer in your Local. Let WEA and NEA know how you prefer to be communicated with, and sign up for digital media such as the Wyoming Professional Issues Updates and News, the Legislative Updates, NEA's Works4Me or Executive Director's Message How to get started: 1.
