Los Angeles Councilmember Mitch O'Farrell (District 13) reminded attendees that California-based projects "create quality middle-class jobs," and that 500,000 jobs are related to the entertainment industry. Among the shows being honored were Big Little Lies, Westworld and This Is Us. SAG-AFTRA National Board member and star of This Is Us Jon Huertas was present to accept the show's certificate of honor. Other SAG-AFTRA members present included Secretary- Treasurer and Los Angeles Local President Jane Austin, Vice President, Los Angeles Clyde Kusatsu, as well as several National and Local Board members.
