The 18,000 square foot Special Events Center accommodates more than 800 people in a banquet setting and complete con- vention services are available for large or small gatherings. The Sales and Catering Departments specialize in personalized service and elaborate theme parties. Harrah's Special Events Center was com- pletely remodeled just last year, including all new furniture, fixtures and equipme nt, plus a new, state-of-the-art sound and lighting system. The 17,500 square foot facility can be divided into multiple meeting and convention spaces and can accommodate over 850 patrons in a banquet set- ting. Harrah's Lake Tahoe offers a wide variety of dining choices, serving everything from gourmet to buffet; Asian to contemporary American favorites. The latest addition to the restaurant line-up is the Highlander Bar at Harrah's 18th floor Fo rest Buffet. Now it's also the home of a brand new, late night dining option. The late night dining menu is available nightly from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. and offers a wide variety of scrumptious selec- tions Another recent addition is Sushi Kai sushi bar, located on the hotel's second floor – just off the casino, and offering fresh sushi, sashimi, California rolls and many other inviting selec- tions. Friday's Station Steak & Seafood Grill and The Forest Buffet are located on the top, 18th floor. The two popular restaurants feature breathtaking views, and were recently recognized as Lake Tahoe's best steakhouse and buffet by the readers of Casino Player magazine. Harrah's also added a new food-court that includes the nationally famous chain restaurants Fat Burger, Asian Grill and LA Italian Kitchen.
