Prior to this I was a teachers assistant in St. Louis, MO for a couple of years and then worked for Wells Fargo for five years. It's timely to highlight two benefits provided through the NEA Members Insurance Trust® at no cost to eligible Active, Staff, Reserve and Life NEA members*: NEA® Insurance, previously called the NEA Dues-Tab Insurance Program, provides term life and accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance coverage to eligible members*, as follows: Complimentary Life 22 BACK TO SCHOOL 2012 | WEAnews • Up to $1,000 of term life insurance • Up to $5,000 of accidental death and dismemberment coverage • Up to $50,000 of AD&D insurance for any covered accident that occurs while on the job or serving as an Association Leader* • $150,000 of life insurance for unlawful homicide while on the job NEA® Insurance Plan provides eligible NEW members* $15,000 of term life insurance coverage for 12 months from the date of membership. At the end of the complimentary one-year period, the new NEA members may continue their coverage at low member-only rates.
