SPRING 2017| WEAnews 6 Your WEA At Work Two Republican legislators and WEA members, Speaker of the House Steve Harshman (Casper) and Senator Jeff Wasserburger (Gillette), addressed RBL attendees with concerns regarding education funding and important steps moving forward, as well as a Q&A session from members. WEA President Kathy Vetter testifies in the Senate Education Committee regarding one of the many school funding bills to hit the Wyoming Legislature this session. RBL attendees also testified with their concerns. Wyoming Retirement System Executive Director Ruth Ryerson talks to RBL members about the health of the Wyoming Retirement System and moving forward to keep our pension system healthy. Members of the Equality State Policy Center give lobbying tips to RBL attendees. RBL attendees listen in to activities on the Senate Floor. The Research, Bargaining, and Lobbying (RBL) Conference was held January 29-30 in Cheyenne, and had about 40 attendees.
