Appointments Beam Global Spirits & Wine, Inc., has appointed Byron Hoover as Vice President of Global Whiskey, spear- heading the growth strategy for such brands as Jim Beam bourbon, Canadian Club Canadian whisky and Teacher's Scotch whisky. Todd Devincenzi is now Chief Sales & Marketing Offi cer of Ascentia Wine Estates; he previously worked with Ascentia CEO Jim DeBonis at Allied Domecq and Beam Wine Estates, where he was the Director of National Off-Premise Accounts. "Todd is the perfect choice for us and will help lead our company in this competitive and challenging market," comments DeBonis. Devincenzi most recently was with C. Mondavi & Sons as Vice President of Sales. Patrick Moore is promoted to Ex- ecutive Vice President Brand Devel- opment at Glazer's. Moore will be responsible for leading Glazer's cor- porate initiatives in Malt Beverages, Fine Wine, Multi-Cultural Marketing, Training, and New Brand Develop- ment. Moore is currently Glazer's President Texas. Nancy Reynolds has joined Terlato Wines International as West Coast National Accounts Manger. Nancy brings more than 20 years experience in the on-premise account channel, including ten years of wine and spirits sales with strategic national accounts. Prior to joining Terlato Wines, Nancy worked for Young's Market Company as National Key Accounts Manager. Epic restaurant opened in December in Chicago's River North, led by a team of seasoned talent: Executive Chef Stephen Wambach, Pastry Chef Christine McCabe, Managing Part- ner Jon Roberson and Wine Director Molly Wismeier, who has a wealth of experience serving as the som- melier for several of the city's leading establishments, including mk, Ceni- tare Restaurants, Charlie Trotter's, the former Ambria and Cru Café. Epic's beverage program will feature a well-rounded selection of wines—a 230-bottle list, equal parts Old and New World—and a total of 30 wines by the glass (15 selections in the lounge and another 15 in the second-fl oor dining room). Wismeier will update the wine list frequently to spotlight specifi c producers. Shawn Thurman is appointed Executive Vice President Sales and Marketing of Glazer's. Thurman will have total responsibility for Glazer's top line performance in its 11 states. Glazer's State Presidents will report to Thurman, as will Glazer's on- and off-premise corporate account teams. Strike a St. Pauli Pose S t. Pauli Girl beer is in the fi nal stages of developing its new St. Pauli Girl poster, which made its debut last month.
