France: CHAMPAGNE BARONS DE ROTHSCHILD 2011 BRUT CUVÉE CASHER nery Notes: "This dry kosher Champagne is 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir from the 2011 vintage. The wine is named for the five brothers who created the Rothschild dynasty. It's a fresh, dry Champagne with a nice acidity." — Hugo Boivin, U.S. Brand Manager Tasting Notes: A strong, assertive opening that leads into a well-rounded wine that is powerful yet contained; the sign of long aging in traditional cellars. Israel Flam, owner of Flam Winery. Israel: FLAM 2011 NOBLE nery Notes: "At U.C. Davis, I indulged my curiosity of the rich terroir of the soils found in the Golan Heights, and I realized back in the 1970s it was the ideal region to create wines. Today, our winery produces some of the leading wines from Israel, thanks to the terroir. People are still surprised when they taste our wines, which are dry and bal- anced. It's still a great achievement for us." —Israel Flam Tasting Notes: Rich ripe fruit on the nose with a touch of spice and a hint of fresh green notes. The palate is complex, yet restrained with silky tannins and an elegant spicy robe.
