HOLLYWOOD DIVISION ELECTIONS IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN RUNNING for the position of National Director or Alternate National Director representing the Hollywood Division (whose Directors also serve as Hollywood Division Board members), you must meet all eligibility requirements (see box next page) and obtain a Nominating Petition from Denise Moreno at (323) 549-6614 in the Governance Department at the SAG National Headquarters in Hollywood or by mail. Your petition must be signed by no fewer than thirty-five (35) qualified members in good standing and returned to the Governance Department at the Guild’s National Headquarters in Hollywood (5757 Wilshire Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90036) by 5 p.m. PDT on Thursday, July 21, 2011. Petitions will be available beginning Wednesday, June 15, 2011. Additional requirements for the submission of nominating materials will be included in the SAG nominating petition instruction kit. Twelve (12) candidate positions* for National Director and Hollywood Division Board member will be open for election this year. Eleven (11) candidate positions will be seated for a three (3) year term and one (1) candidate will be seated for a one (1) year term. Twenty-two (22) candidate positions for Alternate Director and Hollywood Division Board member will be seated for a one (1) year term. Please direct all questions regarding the 2011 Hollywood Division elections and/or candidate eligibility to Denise Moreno at (323) 549-6614, dmoreno@sag.org. *Please note that the number of candidate positions for National Director could increase if a vacancy occurs during the election process. New York Division members received the notice of nomination and election in the spring edition of the New York Actor publication, which outlined the two methods of nomination (by nominating committee or petition) and stated deadlines for consideration by the New York Director Nominating Committee (“DNC”). Interested members may obtain a Nominating Petition from Ruth Baptiste at (212) 827-1522 in the Business Administration Department at the SAG New York office or by mail. Petitions will be available on Wednesday, June 1, 2011.
