SUMMARY OF ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS for NATIONAL DIRECTORS and ALTERNATE NATIONAL DIRECTORS • Must be at least 18 years old • Must be an active member of SAG for at least two consecutive years • Must meet all other requirements as defined by SAG Constitution and By-laws, Division Rules of Procedure and Branch Rules of Procedure • Must be paid-up currently within 45 days from the beginning of the dues period as reflected in the adjacent schedule: CONTRACTS UPDATE to negotiate new contracts and ensure that its members receive fair compensation and contract provisions. I TV/THEATRICAL SAG members ratified a new TV/Theatrical agreement in January, with 93.5 percent voting in favor. The new pact goes into effect July 1, 2011 and will remain in force until June 30, 2014. The three-year agreement, negotiated jointly with AFTRA, guarantees a 6-percent wage increase, with 2 percent of that increase taking effect July 1 on each of the years 2011, 2012 and 2013. In addition, it provides for a 10-percent increase in employer contributions to SAG’s P&H plan for a total of 16.5 percent. The contract, which was jointly negotiated with AFTRA, calls for a 2-percent increase in minimum rates, effective May 1, 2011, and another 2 percent effective November 1, 2012, as well as a 0.2-percent increase in the total contributions to the SAG Pension and the Health Plans and AFTRA Health and Retirement Funds, for a total contribution rate of 15.5 percent. The contract, which would last until April 30, 2014, also adds specific coverage for, and a definition of, programming for new media. Ballots were mailed to eligible voters on May 9 and must be returned no later than 5 p.m. (PDT) June 8, 2011.
