Soundminer releases ‘HD’ search engine T ORONTO — Soundminer (www.soundminer.com) has released Sound- minerHD, the lightest version of its new platform for Mac, PC or universal editions. Soundminer HD is many things: an advanced search engine, a batch conversion engine, an integrated metadata management tool, a sound design tool, a DSP processing host and a scalable server for multiple users. Priced at $199 Soundminer HD includes the company’s advanced, fast and robust V4 search engine, with support for boolean operators as well as alternative search options. Users can import and read multiple metadata formats, as well as V4 data- bases. A large multi-channel waveform overview is provided and users have the ability to resize the view. New with the release is LaunchPad, a 3D graph- ical search interface, and a lyric search feature.
