success track B usiness is business, right? Of course it is. It's important to stay fi nancially healthy, to be competitive, to pro- vide services of value for profi t—and it's okay to be rewarded. In fact, it's essential. Making a profi t for providing a prod- uct or service of value should never be a source of shame. Where there is a need and you are able to fulfi ll that need, it's appropriate for you to be compensat- ed accordingly. The amount of compen- sation depends on many variables, the main ones being credibility, experience and value. Let's take the self-help industry as an example. With more and more peo- ple looking for ways to clear blocks and improve health, relationships or their relationship with money, these services are in high demand, yet providers of these services sometimes struggle with asking people in need to pay. Howev- er, that's what commerce is all about. One person has a need, someone has a solution. Seeking profi t and gain is not selfi sh or greedy, nor is it antithetical to spiritual growth. As long as we remain humanitar- ian in our practices, entrepreneurship of- fers choices and opportunities for those who don't fi t in the corporate box. There is a way to make a profi t without hurting people or the planet, and we need leaders who know how to run profi table business- es and be the voice of the global commu- nity. Follow these easy steps to ensure you're offering quality without sabotaging your own growth: • Understand that profi t is always the end game. What's the point of being ethical and altruistic if there's no fi nancial future in your activities? It's pointless, right? Zero profi t = zero future.
