The Hilton Pittsburgrecently wel- comed several international hotel veter- ans to its leadership team, including the new Director of Housekeeping Reginald Brewington. “We’re focused on providing a world- class visitor experience for every Hilton Pittsburgh guest,” said Jim Sega, general manager. “That’s why we’ve expanded our management team with seasoned professionals who bring international insights and extensive hotel experience to Hilton Pittsburgh.” A seasoned veteran, Brewington has spent almost two decades leading housekeeping programs for some of Hilton’s busiest prop- erties. He is noted for his commitment to providing a clean and luxurious hotel experience. Tiffany Backus has joined VISIT Milwaukee as its Washington, D.C.-based sales manager. Backus brings more than a decade of hotel sales experience to the position, most recently working as senior sales manager for Hiltons of Washington. In that position, Backus was responsible for convention, meeting and group sales to the Virginia and Maryland association and government markets. She has also held sales positions for the Hyatt Regency, Washington D.C. and the Hyatt Regency Crystal City, Arlington, VA. Backus said she’s excited about the evolution of Milwaukee as a visitor destination and selling its attributes to the meeting market. “I look forward to being on the ground here in Washington and working with my VISIT Milwaukee colleagues to bring more busi- ness to the city.” WHollywood has appointed industry veteran Jeffrey G. Guillory as the hotel’s new director of Sales and Marketing. Guillory has over two decades of hospi- tality experience, where he’s acted as Director of Sales and Marketing at four hotels prior to W Hollywood: the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles, The Intercontinental Hotel in Miami, The Stanford Court –a Renaissance Hotel in San Francisco and the Swissotel Chicago. Throughout his career, Guillory has been instrumental in improving the sales and marketing initiatives at numerous high- profile hotels around the country. He has guided two sales teams to win Sales Team of the Year, once in 2004 at the Stanford Court and again in 2006 at the InterContinental. The Malaysia Convention & Exhibit- ion Bureau (MyCEB) has announced the appointment of Selvakumar Krishnasamy senior manager for Finance & Administration, to support the organi- zation’s strategic growth plans. Helmed by CEO Zulkefli Hj Sharif, MyCEB’s team has recently moved to a new office located in Kuala Lumpur’s central business district. A chartered accountant with 10 years of experience, Krishnasamy is primarily responsible for the development and implementation of MyCEB’s business and financial plan. He will also ensure that adequate and effective resources are in place to support the strategic goals and objectives of the organization. Mid-South Meetings by Harrah’s Entertainment recently hired Georgia resident and sales manager Darrell Russell to promote and sell over 65,000 sq. ft. of meeting and convention space at Harrah’s Casino, Horseshoe Casino and Hotel, and Tunica Roadhouse Casino and Hotel in Tunica, MS. Russell currently resides and will work out of the Atlanta metropolitan area. Russell has held sales positions with increasing responsi- bility with: Holiday Inn Select Capitol Grand Hotel, Atlanta Capitol Plaza Hotel, Ramada Plaza Hotel, Holiday Inn Express, MTI Limo and Shuttle Services, and Comfort Inn and Suites at Atlanta Airport North. The SMG-managed Greater Columbus Convention Centerhas hired John R. Page as assistant general manag- er/director of operations for the facility. Prior to returning to Columbus in August, Page was the assistant GM for the Savannah International Trade & Convention Center. He was promoted to that position from the director of opera- tions role he assumed in 2003. Page held a variety of positions as project coordinator, projects manager and senior operations manager for the Greater Columbus Convention Center from 1998 to 2003 when he then moved to Savannah. Previous roles include employment with The Ohio State University Athletic & Recreational Sports Departments, the Ohio High School Athletic Association, Greater Columbus CVB and Dayton’s Ervin G.
