MOTIONPICTUREC O S T U M E R S .O R G 31 FB: My favorite thing about this show is the camaraderie with the crew and cast. The different stories that keep us on our toes. There's never a dull moment. We're very lucky to have the department that we have. We are very well supported by our supervisor and costume designer. DL: The creativity of it all and free range to story tell has been what literally made me love joining costumes 705 overall. That love and excitement of creating gets me excited every day and working with so many amazing humans that work well with each other. AB: It's so real to life. I've learned so much about health. My mom is a retired critical care RN. I always thought I appreciated what she did, but now that I have more of a reality, I know that these healthcare workers are real life heroes every day. CS: I would have to say my favorite thing about working on The Pitt would be my teammates. We have a large department of Costumers that I really enjoy working with, but as you can imagine, I have the most interaction with the BG Set Costumers and it's really great to have such a positive working relationship with them in particular. Also, there is something pretty great about putting so much work into a show and then having it turn out to be such a critical hit that's garnering so many impressive awards. It feels very cool. My parents are very proud! CF& TK: The cast and crew is like our family. There are so many moving parts and everyone works so seamlessly together. It doesn't feel like we're coming to work. What is the one tool in your kit that has been a life-saver? DL: The lint roller has been my go-to on this show. I probably go through 15 rolls a season. Starbucks coffee on the WB lot is also a life-saver. And last, but not least, my Costume Department. AB: The wet gel that we use to make the actors' clothes look sweaty. CS: Micro-taggers and adhesive fabric labels have been in equally consistent demand since day one, and we don't show any signs of slowing down on either. I should honestly buy stock in both. CF & TK: A Microstitch! "Be prepared" is the Boy Scout motto, and after spending time in the world of The Pitt, I think all of them have earned their scouting merit badges. The unique nature of this show calls for a special and unique team to handle it. Their Costume Designer, Lyn Paolo, thinks so too by saying, "The team of talented Costumers on The Pitt are, without exception, at the top of their game. Many have worked on shows with me for many years, and all are amazing at what they do. I am so very grateful to be able to collaborate with these exceptional professionals." And for viewers of the show, I think we all can agree; because without these incredible people, we wouldn't get a show that helps us see a slice of life so rarely and honestly experienced; which is why The Pitt and its crew can join the ranks of the great medical dramas that came before. Only two seasons so far, and they are already legends.
