Adventureland), a true artist and a gentleman. In the story, the main hero, Chris/Peacemaker, entered the Quantum Unfolding Chamber and ended up finding a door that mirrored his own, thus propelling us into the alternate universe of Chris Two, his brother Keith and his father Auggie. Where in the real world Auggie lived as 'white trash' in a bungalow, in the alternate universe he inhabited a well-appointed mansion with a trophy room, bedrooms, a maze of corridors and a gigantic kitchen. The first order of business was to find a suitable location for the mansion. We searched high and low, and in the end, we found it—the oldest house on a pond, with the biggest grounds in a new, expensive development. The house was amazing because it had a large kitchen, which was shootable from multiple points of view. It also had a fabulous entrance, lobby/ entertainment center and doors to suggest a connection to our set. The bones were there—all it needed was the proper furniture, and set decorator Andrea Doyle delivered. She changed everything, brought in the 'horse' theme paintings, replaced the lights and added the curtains. The more complicated part was how the set was going to connect to the house. I drew over the existing part and matched the two entrances; one leading to a bedroom, and the other connecting the house to the cigar room. From there, I was free to create the general shape of the large trophy/ cigar room, an elaborate corridor and Chris Two's bedroom and bathroom. The trophy/cigar room had a separate entrance to the Quantum Unfolding Chamber, massive cabinets holding all the Top Trio memorabilia, including the Blue Dragon mask, a globe holding spirits, an additional bookcase, a fireplace, three leather chairs over a plaid rug, a portrait of Auggie and the piece de resistance—the tricked- out humidor. On the surface it was a classy man-cave, but underneath it ran the juices of Auggie's soul and his admiration for everything…fascist. His portrait embodied it all, showing G. HARCOURT'S ROOFTOP.
