On each of these projects, Bobbi has been nothing short of extraordinary. She has always been the light at the end of the tunnel. The voice of encouragement when the finish line feels far away, and the energy that reinvigorates our team when we need it most. Bobbi's professionalism, compassion, unwavering attention to detail, and her remarkable ear for continuity in storytelling are not just skills, they are gifts that elevate every project she's touched. What sets Bobbi apart the most, is her spirit. She meets every challenge with grace, resilience, and always with a smile. The impact she's had on our films is immeasurable, and her presence has left a lasting imprint not only on the work itself but on all of us who have had the privilege to collaborate with her. Not only do we celebrate Bobbi with the Fellowship & Service Award, but we are also celebrating the heart, dedication, and artistry she brings to cinema and the lives she's impacted along the way. Bobbi, congratulations, you embody the very best of what this award represents. SCOTT FREEMAN P R O D U C E R It seems very fitting that Bobbi Banks is receiving the Fellowship & Service Award because if you look up "fellowship" and "service" in the dictionary, you'll probably find a picture of Bobbi smiling back at you. (You'll also find her face next to other words like accomplishments, dedication, kindness, determination, grace, moral compass, integrity, fabulous, and many more.) I have been blessed to not only serve with Bobbi on the Board of Governors of the Television Academy, but to also co-Chair the Television Academy Honors Selection Committee with her. The long hours of viewing important programming, and meetings with our committee, to select which deserving programs would be honored, was a joy and, well, an honor with Bobbi as a partner. She kept me and our committee grounded, focused, and inspired – and she literally brought pink boxing gloves to our final meeting in case deliberations got out of hand (which they never did)!! I know Bobbi works in Sound Editing, but I think she moonlights in Lighting, as well, because she always lights up a room with her presence, positivity, and passion. If she is on your side and on your team, you know deep inside that anything is possible. Congrats, Bobbi, on your well-deserved award! KAREN WILLIAMS R OY B A L Our team at the Roybal Film and Television Magnet are deeply grateful for the dedication and commitment Bobbi Banks has shown to our students and staff at. As a valued member of the Roybal Industry Council, she has played a vital role in helping students explore the many pathways into the Post Production industry, while offering invaluable guidance to our educators. Her presence has been especially impactful for young women in our Post Production pathway, who see in her a powerful example of what is possible in a field where representation is still limited. We are honored to celebrate Bobbi's service and leadership—her support continues to inspire and uplift our Roybal community. Banks Notes
