She is a true trailblazer -paving the way for women in sound supervision at a time when the field was largely male. Her contributions have not only elevated the quality of the projects she has touched but have also opened doors for so many who followed. This honor is a well-deserved recognition of a remarkable career. JEFF HABOUSH S O U N D E N G I N E E R I have had the honor and the privilege to work on several projects with Bobbi Banks. She is a great sound supervisor and friend. A cherished memory I have with Bobbi is working together on the late John Singleton's 2001 film Baby Boy that starred Tyrese Gibson, Snoop Dogg, Ving Rhames and Taraji P. Henson. John was an amazing human being and a legendary film maker. Our sound / music and picture crew was a lively bunch. We were a family. We lived in a Dub stage for hours on end. Bobbi kept us all in line. Her calmness and professionalism is infectious. The one thing I will say about Bobbi is she has a deep caring and love for the Sound and Film community - As do I. Brava, Bobbi! So well deserved receiving the prestigious motion picture sound editors fellowship and service award. Quite an honor. JACQUES GRAVETT F I L M E D I T O R I couldn't be happier to see Bobbi recognized with the Motion Picture Editors Guild Fellowship and Service Award. Beyond her incredible artistry as a Supervising Sound Editor, Bobbi has always led with generosity, passion, and heart. She's not only elevated every project she's touched, but she's also lifted up the people around her — mentoring, encouraging, and opening doors for so many in our community. This honor is a beautiful reflection of the impact she's had, both professionally and personally. Congratulations, Bobbi — you deserve it. I'm so proud to celebrate you. RICKY DELANA S I G N A T U R E P O S T You couldn't ask for a more talented and professional colleague. Her sunshine demeanor and bright attitude has always made it a pleasure to work with. A master of her craft. An original OG. You don't last as long as Bobby has in this industry unless you have those attributes. I wish you only wonderful things to come as you continue your journey. With Love and Respect, Ricky DeLena Banks Notes
