The LMGI booth remained
a hotbed of activity with
members stopping by to
catch up with old friends and
meet new ones.
"It was my first year
attending FOCUS and I was
struck by the sheer number
of film commissions, vendors
and other participants,"
recalls Ken Brooker/LMGI.
"LMGI business partner
Northwest Territories
Film Commission had an
outstanding showing and was
the only Canadian jurisdiction
represented. I was equally
impressed by the LMGI's
setup and the constant cycle
of LMGI folks checking in at
the table and Mick Ratman's
keen interest in promoting
London's best eating spots. I
can't wait to go back."
Adds Film Commissioner
Camilla MacEachern,
"FOCUS was the perfect
platform for Canada's
Northwest Territories to
debut at the UK/European
market. The venue was full
of energetic representation
from around the world and
keen attendees who were
interested in learning more
about our jurisdiction and
NEW enhanced incentives.
We made some invaluable
contacts and really
appreciated our proximity
to the LMGI booth who were
complimentary and always
great fun."
Additional LMGI business
partners attending included
Fews Marquees Limited, Film
in Iceland, Film Tucson,
Houston Film Commission,
Marriott Hotels, Moab to
Monument Valley Film
Commission, Ready to
Shoot Portugal, Supply 2
Location, Reel Security,
Sunbelt Rentals and
TrueNorth Iceland.
Guild Communications
and Operations Director
Erika Howard sums up
this FOCUS edition: "It's
always a pleasure to wrap
the year in London, where
LMGI members, partners
and film commissions from
across the globe gather for
two packed days of insight,
opportunity and connection.
From eye-opening panels
to discovering new film
destinations, and plenty of
networking—it's a whirlwind in
the best way.
"I especially love when
members stop by our booth
to share what they've been
up to over the past year.
There's also a growing
excitement around regions
looking to host Fam Tours
with our vetted members—
seeing the LMGI's
international presence
continue to expand is
incredibly gratifying. And
with our UK/Europe/Africa
Regional leadership team
now fully engaged, 2025
is shaping up to be even
stronger."
