Recognizing the need for a break to clear Jennifer's head, Mark introduced Jennifer to his "assistant," the tiny kitten. Seeing the adorable little kitten immediately lifted her spirits. After cuddling the kitten for a few minutes, Jennifer requested to bring the kitten into the ADR stage, but the decision ultimately rested with the director, Lori Petty, known for her role in Point Break. Mark explained that it was Lori's call to make, and Jennifer hurried back to the stage, carrying the kitten with her. Lori, seeing that the kitten's presence had a positive impact on Jennifer, granted permission for the feline to join the session. As Jennifer began her ADR work, the kitten quietly roamed around, her gentle movements causing no disruption. Eventually, the kitten got bored and started climbing Mark's leg with her tiny, needle-like claws. In a room filled with silence, Mark suppressed any reaction, determined not to disrupt the recording session. The mischievous kitten then made her way up Mark's chair, creating a distinct rustling noise that drew the attention of the mixer. Eventually, the kitten was gently escorted out of the ADR stage. He was recruited by Larry Elena to supervise TV shows at Universal. He worked on the pilot for Grimm, where he won the HPA Award that year. He also did the pilot for Revenge while at Universal. His stay there was short-lived because he was being suggested for a new position back at Sony Pictures Television. Sony was looking for a sound designer in their TV department who could create custom sounds for TV shows while the picture editors were still early in their process, designing custom sound effects for their edits instead of the picture editors just using sound libraries. Mark's name kept coming up as a suitable candidate for this role. He met with Ben Benedetti, who was in charge of the TV department at Sony, and they discussed the position. Mark was offered the opportunity to create sounds for various TV shows and was offered a contract at Sony and thought it was a great fit, happy to be back at his old stomping ground. Mark's return to Sony led to him working on TV shows like Justified, Homeland, House of Lies, Silicon Valley, The Blacklist, Ray Donovan, Empire, Sneaky Pete, The Goldbergs, Masters of Sex, and many more. Mark had a hilarious experience while creating a sound for Masters of Sex. In the show, there was a scene involving a large glass vibrator named "Ulysses," Steve Robinson, Mark Lanza, and Mike Orlowski sunburned at the end of a long day of recording.
