Voting for all delegates will be done through a secret ballot. Be sure not to include any identifying marks on your ballot or envelope. Ballots postmarked by March 29 will be counted in Des Moines at the ISEA headquarters at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 6. Members may come to ISEA Headquarters to watch the vote count. All NEA Active members may vote for electoral district candidates and Category 2 candidates. Members can also vote for members who are not listed on the ballot by simply entering the name in the write-in space provided on the paper ballot. The top vote-getters in each category are elected as state delegates and will serve a three-year term. The next-highest vote-getters are named successor delegates and will serve in the event a delegate is unable to serve. In the event there are no remaining successor delegates in a category, at-large delegates shall be assigned in order of vote totals. Winning delegates will be notified, and their names posted on www.isea.org and in the April/May issue of the Communique. State delegates are reimbursed for up to $2,000 in expenses provided they meet funding guidelines as approved by the ISEA Executive Board.
