Local member Alan Starzinski joined other members and staff in attending the 3rd Annual Dolores Huerta Spirit Awards on Sept. 16 at the Laborers' Local 300. This event celebrates the achievements of families, partners and leaders of the Labor Community Services in Southern California. ● Negotiating Committee Member Addresses City Council SAG-AFTRA Los Angeles Local and TV/Theatrical Negotiating Committee member Natalia Castellanos, alongside other Los Angeles labor leaders, addresses the L.A. City Council on Sept. 1, the 50th day of SAG-AFTRA's TV/Theatrical/Streaming strike. Castellanos spoke about the state of the entertainment industry, the fight for members and the broader impact of the strike for the Los Angeles community. On behalf of the union, Castellanos received a certificate of recognition from the city for SAG-AFTRA's vital role in the labor movement to ensure that workers receive equitable wages and health benefits. ● L.A.
