W hen the Screen Actors Guild Awards ® premiered in 1995, it gave performers the opportunity and stage to honor those in the acting community. Since that time, the awards have not only become a season favorite but also an event that actors across the nation and world look forward to. Each year presents an opportunity to recognize the stellar performances that transform and elevate the craft, and the chance to celebrate the milestones reached in the industry itself. This year, on the SAG Awards' 30th anniversary, the show will make a historic move of its own by airing live on the streaming platform Netflix on Saturday, Feb. 24, at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET. As we prepare to celebrate the big night, we look back on the last three decades and answer your frequently asked questions.
