The Greys' home represents how they wish to seem—ordinary, but also successful, stylish, and sociable. In a word: aspirational. (The Greys are part of a middle class whose spending power was increased by post-WWII and post-Depression economic growth.) Key colors: pink and green Key materials: wood and brick (masonry) Certain intentional design moments, such as a pass-through shelving unit leading from the kitchen to the dining room, and a closet with a camera port, provides opportunity for comedy if Lydia or Eliza start to wolf out at a party and have to hide from well- meaning guests. Running jokes—shedding on the furniture ("Do you have a dog?" No…so they get one as a furry scapegoat.) Having to repair destruction to walls or furniture/conceal damage from surprise guests, etc. Teenage werewolves are teenagers x100. MID-CENTURY MONSTERS | Grey Home Research A. MID CENTURY MONSTERS.
