roperties well known for golf often provide top-notch meeting facilities. With a profile as full-fledged
resorts rather than simply hotels, this combination offers much that meeting planners should find
attractive. There are some consultants who offer group golf experiences where they use golf as a
metaphor for how a person approaches professional and personal challenges, and an analogy for
strategic planning and execution.
The popular adage that some of the biggest business deals are made on the golf course proves to be true and a
lot of this is due to being at the right place at the right time, however much of the success began in one of the golf
resort's meeting spaces earlier in a conference session. Or possibly the gentleman you met the night before at din-
ner becomes your T-off partner in the AM and a newer more personal relationship is built on the green.
