But his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, and Barry becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod (Michael Shannon) has returned. With no super heroes to turn to, he tries to coax Batman out of retirement. Michael Keaton reprises his role as Bruce Wayne. One Of Us (www.weacceptyou.com), which has studios in London and Paris, worked on a single shot for the film, but that shot spanned :90. The shot fol- lows a dog as he falls from the window of a destroyed high-rise hospital. Along the way, he fends off collisions with toys, towels and flowers, as well as a hug from a baby, all before the Flash ultimately rescues him. One Of Us credits on the sequence include supervisor Robin Ashworth- Cape, line producer George Butler, CG supervisor Sam Churchill, animation supervisor Catherine Mullan, creature supervisor Chris Gill and animation lead Cedric de la Forest Divonne. The photoreal dog falls in slow motion for a total of 2,326 frames. More than 50 independent CG assets were used in the sequence, along with nearly a dozen FX simulations, including fire, lightning, water, drool, cloth and even guacamole. The dog was nicknamed Chunk by the studio, as it needed to be broken up for rendering, and featured more than 2.6M hairs. The greeting cards featured in the shot were designed by One Of Us' Luke Fisher. The final comp script had 198 input read nodes and 3,693 nodes.
