shapes and vibrant iridescent colors would be fun to see in Amy's stark rectilinear home. We referenced ceramic artists whose work experiments with specialty glazes, hand-painting, sanding, throwing, hand building, abstract forms with unbelievable colors. It's a labor-intensive, technically proficient process Kellie Jo and her team represented with the tools and equipment dressed into the set (we pretended the kiln was outside a side door). Fabricating George's vases was a multi-step operation that had nothing to do with ceramics. At my desk, between meetings and emails, I pinched little sculptures out of gray polymer clay or drew Post-it sketches and placed them on concept artist Zirao "Zero" Zhang's desk. Zero created all the vase concept models and printed them full scale as a guide for sculptor J. Bryan Holloway to sculpt out of foam. Then plaster foreman Shane Buckallew applied one of two textures using an industrial hot glue gun or a hopper sprayer with a concrete/sand mix. E. GEORGE'S VASES. BLENDER MODELS BY ZIRAO ZHANG. F.
