AROUND AEA 5 SUMMER 2023 | ADVOCATE Over the last year, more than 1,400 new members have joined the Arizona Education Association. Welcome! Our union is made up of more than 20,000 people across the state. We are teachers, bus drivers, librarians, counselors, cafeteria workers, school nurses, administrative coordinators and more. We set our priorities democratically through our local associations and our annual Delegate Assembly. As educators, we are our union. Being part of our union is what gives you a voice in your workplace, ensuring that you have the protection, support and guidance you need to speak out. If there are changes you want to see at your school, worksite or district, get in touch with your site rep or local leaders and start making them happen. We're so glad to have you with us.
