LMGI COMPASS | Spring 2023 • 9 Holiday party photos by Kat Pomey Southern hospitality was on full display at the LMGI co-sponsored gathering of members, their guests, vendors and friends at an in-person holiday party on December 17, 2022—a Georgia tradition that had been put on hold for the past few years due to COVID. Kelsii Dyer of Giggster Concierge also helped find and fund the cost of the venue at Ohio River South. More than 200 people packed the restored space in an historic hotel located in the newly re-envisioned Mitchell Street District near Mercedes Benz Stadium. "I really want to recognize Andrew Goss, Lia Tower, Rush Eyler and Lisa Reisman for helping to pull off the event," said LMGI Board member Mac Gordon. "This would not have been possible without them, and their efforts are deeply appreciated." "It was so great for so many location professionals to come together," said Tower. "I got to see so many of my favorite colleagues and people that I haven't in some time. I also got to meet some that I only knew from years of phone calls! It's amazing how much the Atlanta location community has grown and it's always nice to see everyone all dressed up! We clean up nice!" Added Goss, "Having so many people from our community in one place was amazing. It was great to finally put a face with a name as well." Special guest Guild President John Rakich attended for the first time and was able to meet and mingle with local members. Numerous vendors donated gifts for a raffle of some 30 items. "It was great to have everyone get together after the COVID restrictions," said Neil Halloway of Herc Entertainment Services. "I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunity to work with such a high caliber of professionals every day." The party's success reflects the optimism of the Georgia location professionals and their community—thrilled to be able to reconnect with each other and looking forward to a brighter future for production everywhere.
