The Peaches' House In the series, the Rockford Peaches are all put up in a large house. One of the first locations the production searched for was the exterior of the Peaches' house, so we could begin designing the interior. The location team found a blue shingle Queen Anne house on a street made of yellow brick. There was unanimous agreement that this was our exterior. The house was set on a bit of a rise, so it presented wonderfully. We knew from the get-go that we were going to build the interior on stage, given how often we'd be in it. In the story, the Peaches' house was rented for the season. The house exterior was built in the 1890s as a well-to-do family home. The design team's backstory was that it later became group housing for students and then a fraternity. With all the bedrooms, it would be big enough to support a group of more than twelve women. Set decoration salted nods to that history throughout the house, like photos of fraternity groups from the 1920s on the wall above the piano. A. PEACHES' HOUSE DIRECTORS PLAN, DRAWN BY KATE BECHAK.
