Tuxedo
The tuxedo for Lady Fay Zhu (Li Jun Li) was in-
spired by Travis Banton's for Marlene Dietrich.
We wanted it to be an exacting silhouette where
you could see her every move. Karine tailored
the tuxedo beautifully. It fit like a glove. Her
top hat was a treasure we found at Playclothes
Vintage in Burbank. It was really from the early
20th century (dated inside). Deborah Ambrosi-
no refurbished the top hat and it fit perfectly.
The curl of hair on the side of her face was a
beautiful graphic touch.
