basis of inspiration, the Art Department set out to design the oligarch's bedroom. This room needed to contain an armoire full of sex toys that the he regularly used with his bevy of prostitutes. This is The Boys, however, and these toys each had to be designed, with a superhero theme, more precisely designed in the style and look of the show's superheroes. Each toy was designed, conceptualized and rendered in 3D, and ultimately upon final approval, 3D printed and then painted. The armoire with the sex toys was placed in a gaudy marble bedroom large enough for a king-size bed, ten prostitutes, the oligarch and of course, ultimately, a fight with Kimiko. This super-powered member of the team fought the entire room using each sex toy as a weapon. Cue the wire stunt rigs and gallons of makeup FX blood and you've got another unforgettable scene. Fans of the comic books were delighted to find out that season three would also tackle "Herogasm," a notable event in the original books, and the central event of episode six.
