Pov of dead bodies And walks away on the day we shoot. They range from how the environment looks (lighting, atmosphere, time of day, background players, etc.) to how the actors interact with the camera and the camera's movement. Specifically, when Dan and I sat down to work on this sequence, we had concept renderings of Times Square in the future from Production Designer Jon Carlos. But because the Volume was spatially limited, we had to work out ways to make the space feel as big as the real Times Square. That meant changing backgrounds and perspectives as characters moved forward from point A to point B. All these elements have to be pre-conceived. Granted there will be adjustment on the day and in post-production. But as a whole, there is no way to be successful with a Volume shoot without accurate storyboarding. I call upon Dan to storyboard almost all my action sequences. Not only does Dan provide an extremely accurate concept of the shot I want to make, but he sometimes offers up his own shot ideas which frankly, are often better than mine. I can't think of a recent action sequence that doesn't include a Dan Caplan-conceived shot or two." EP/Director Richard J.
