Detroit, Michigan is located in the Midwest region of the United States. It has a population of 672,351 as of the 2020 census. Detroit is 77% African-American and has the fifth largest African-American popu- lation in the United States. Detroit is connected to Canada by a number of bridges, most notably, the Ambassador Bridge which carries approxi- mately 10,000 commercial vehicles and an average of 4,000 passenger cars each weekday. Detroit has a complex and storied history worth understanding and is an ideal venue to host meetings, conventions and family events/reunions.
