Disney seems to have perfected the art of employee retention and good employee morale as well. The average tenure of Disney employees is over 25 years. Javier Moreno Rojas is a long tenured Disney employee who is also a beneficiary of Disney's intense training and employee retention programs. He is the current SVP of Sales, Services and Events at Walt Disney World Orlando, but started with Disney in Europe as a young man in an entry level position. Mr. Rojas is a recent transplant from Disney Paris to Disney World. He brings with him a global perspective of how important inclusivity is to Disney. He also speaks Spanish, French and Italian in addition to English. Mr. Rojas believes in using the approach of a good listener. Someone who hears what the client wants and tries to satisfy those needs using compassion as his guiding force. Mr. Rojas believes that the best practices used by Disney to train and retain its employees is one of the key ingredients need- ed to create "The Magic" that Disney is known for. As SVP of Sales, Mr. Rojas is a staunch supporter of Disney coordinators listening to the client's needs first by gathering all of the information necessary to insure a successful event.
