8 I M PS E . O R G This edition of Wavelength is dedicated to all of the nominees and winners of the 69th Annual MPSE Golden Reel Awards, with thanks to our members behind the scenes who contributed countless hours to creating an amazing virtual experience for all who attended from around the world. I'd also like to extend special thanks to MPSE's secret weapon in charge of business affairs and office manager, Tracie Costabile. I'm convinced she has secret powers. Last, but certainly not least, thanks to all of our Wavelength contributors, interviewers and interviewees alike, who are working sound editors, yet still find the time to share the stories and interesting content about our sound editing communities around the world, and bringing our global MPSE community a little closer through Wavelength. Finally, big special thanks to this year's MPSE Career Achievement Award Winner, Chic Ciccolini (page 22), and to this year's MPSE Filmmaker of the Year Award, Mr. Ron Howard (page 32), for so generously donating their time to Wavelength for their memorable interviews. Wishing everyone a healthy, safe summer and enjoy this special Golden Reel Awards edition of Wavelength.
