PEOPLE www.postmagazine.com 36 POST MAR/APR 2022 LYNWEN BRENNAN The Visual Effects Society recognized Lucasfil executive vice president and general manager Lynwen Brennan with its Lifetime Achievement Award, honor- ing her contributions to visual arts and filmed en er- tainment. The award was presented at the 20th Annual VES Awards on March 8th at The Beverly Hilton Hotel. Brennan's career at Lucasfilm tarted in 1999 with her role as technical area leader in the business's visual effects company Industrial Light & Magic. She rose through the ranks to become president of ILM in 2009, and guided the studio through one of its most successful periods. Under her leadership, ILM added three new studios to its global footprint and expanded their studios in San Francisco and Singapore. In February 2015 she was promoted to GM and EVP of Lucasfilm BRADLEY WALD London-based animation & VFX studio Cinesite has appointed Bradley Wald chief operating officer for an- imation. Currently based in Los Angeles, Wald will op- erate as part of Cinesite's senior leadership team and brings over 25 years of senior-level experience to the newly-created role, which stretches across the compa- ny's international animation operations in Vancouver, Montreal and London. He will be responsible for leading Cinesite's animation business operations as the studio continues to grow its roster of animated fea- ture films and series, while also culti ating a range of growth opportunities. Prior to joining Cinesite, Wald was SVP and managing director, Europe, Middle East & Africa, at Comcast International Media Group, where he led a team that developed and distributed E! and other Comcast television brands throughout the region. DANIEL MITCHELL Work Editorial in London has announced the addi- tion of Daniel Mitchell to its team of editing talent. With a body of work that is strongly focused on narrative and tone, Mitchell seeks to entertain as well as challenge and engage his audience. His portfolio includes projects for Volkswagen, Nissan, Lexus and Samsung, as well as beauty and beverage brands. Mitchell recently relocated to London from South Africa, which strongly influen ed his work and afforded him a lot of creative freedom. KALLIE BILLADEAU Nomad in New York City has announced the pro- motion of Kallie Billadeau to editor, having formerly served as assistant editor. Over the course of nearly three years, Billadeau has worked on an extensive array of projects, including a number of documenta- ries and campaigns for global brands, such as Jeep, Calvin Klein, Glossier and Aveeno. As a proud mem- ber of the LGBTQ+ community, Billadeau is grateful to be able to help create stories that reflects the di ersity of her community and raises awareness of underrepresented voices. STEVEN SHAPIRO, HARRY LINDEN Independent animation studio Aardman in Bristol, UK, has announced the appointments of Steven Shapiro (top) and Harry Linden (bottom) to the positions of chief technical officer and head of stop-frame production, respectively — both newly-created roles. The studio recently received an Academy Award- nomination for its animated short, Robin Robin. As CTO, Shapiro will oversee the technology teams and develop a technology strategy reflecting the long term plans of the studio as it takes on an ambitious slate of projects over the next fi e years. He joins Aardman from The Walt Disney Studios. As head of stop-frame production, Linden will support Aardman's specialist teams to deliver an expanding stop-frame slate, which includes feature films, shorts, specials and series. he slate also includes commercials and con- tent produced for partners. He will work closely with the head of CG produc- tion, Jess McKillop. DANIELLE SCHNEIDERMAN, CLAY DOGGETT Creative editing and post production studio Modern Post in New York City has announced the promo- tions of Danielle Schneiderman and Clay Doggett to editors. The studio provides creative editing and finishing or commercials, branded content and music videos, and specializes in luxury advertising for the fashion and beauty industries. Schneiderman began her career at Lost Planet Editorial, working as a vault and client services manager while also soaking up opportunities to learn about the craft and industry. She stepped up as an assistant editor at Union Editorial in 2017 before join- ing the Modern Post team in 2018, where she started as an assistant editor. Doggett got his start making videos at a young age, shooting and editing skate videos featuring friends and family. He would later land an internship at a boutique post shop, where he learned about the editing craft hands-on. He went on to became a freelance editor, working on an array of commercial, documentary, music video, feature film and ashion projects. Doggett made the leap back into a staff ole when he joined Modern Post in 2018. SCOTT BOYAJAN Boutique visual effects and design studio Shape+Light in Santa Monica, CA, has added Scott Boyajan to its team as executive producer. He is an accomplished producer with experience across the post produc- tion landscape, having worked with A52, Framestore, Psyop, Mirada and Animal Logic, among others. Boyajan's credits include work with Nike, Adidas, GM, Facebook, Microsoft and Lexus. He has also produced short form design content, including the opening title sequence for HBO's Carnivale.
