Celebrating Artists the awards homecoming putting it together WHEN THE SAG AWARDS ® FIRST AIRED live on Feb. 25, 1995, it did something that no other film and television awards show had done before: It brought some of entertainment's most noted performers together under one roof to celebrate one another. And for more than 27 years, it is that spirit of camaraderie that has made the awards well-known throughout the industry and an anticipated event for every union member across the country. "What I have always heard and felt from my fellow actors who have won The Actor ® is that it means so much more to them than other awards because of the recognition from their peers," said SAG Awards Committee Chair JoBeth Williams. "Just to be nominated means you've already won." After its hourlong special in 2021, the SAG Awards returns to the stage for its 28th The SAG Awards ® production team at the 26th annual ceremony in 2020. Clockwise from top, Awards and Sponsorships Manager Sarah Barry, Coordinating Producer Jen Coyne-Hoerle, Digital Manager Nic Vivas and Executive Producers Kathy Connell and Jon Brockett. 37 / SAG-AFTR A SPECIAL ISSUE 2022 / sagaftra.org TERENCE PATRICK / WARNER MEDIA
