I f there's one thing that actors know how to do, it is ensure that the show goes on, and no awards ceremony proved that better than the 27th Annual SAG Awards! The ceremony was a special one-hour, prerecorded event, but the A-list roster of actors and presenters brought more than a few surprises to the screen. Opening the night was a hilarious skit with Male Actor in a Comedy Series recipient Jason Sudeikis and the Ted Lasso cast, who were nominated for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series. Between other history-making moments with Viola Davis (Ma Rainey's Black Bottom), Daniel Kaluuya (Judas and the Black Messiah), Youn Yuh-jung (Minari) and the casts of Schitt's Creek, The Crown and The Trial of the Chicago 7 were funny vignettes, including a special "I Am an Actor" skit with members Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen. Historic moments like these are made by union performers like you, and awards night is just around the corner! Check out highlights from last year's awards ceremony, and be sure to vote for your favorite performers and ensembles before the Feb. 25 deadline. The 28th SAG Awards ceremony begins Feb. 27 at 5 p.m. PT / 8 p.m. ET on TBS and TNT. 4) Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Movie or Limited Series recipient Mark Ruffalo (I Know This Much Is True) is all smiles as he accepts The Actor®. 5) Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Movie or Limited Series nominee Daveed Diggs (Hamilton).
