SINCE 2013, PHOTOGRAPHER
AMY TIERNEY has been a presence
at the Screen Actors Guild Awards' red
carpet and winner's circle. She began
her career as a coordinator on feature
films sets and has become a noted
photojournalist of climate, entertainment
and women-focused stories.
Her work has been published in the
industry's most recognizable publications,
including Vanity Fair, Variety, Entertainment
Weekly, The Hollywood Reporter and Rolling Stone, as well as
broadcast on all major television outlets.
"I believe the underlying power to transform lives, markets and
communities continues to be through the stories we share. What
makes working with actors so truly satisfying is that's their work
philosophy as well," said Tierney. "To capture the most compelling
light of a moment is joyous work for me as a photographer, and equally as
enjoyable is the emotional exchange between photographer and subject."
With Tierney's career and longstanding work comes a plethora of stories from
awards nights past. Here she shares a few of her favorites.
