Together, we are stronger. We salute our educators who make a difference in shaping the future of Wyoming. Supporting #WyomingTogether Contact: Willis Towers Watson, Consultant | 800-640-4459 Wyoming Educators' Benefit Trust WEBT "It is an absolute honor to receive the California Casualty Award for Teaching Excellence," Bustos told WEA News. "I am very excited and happy to be Wyoming's 2022 recipient. I am thankful for my students, who continue to inspire me every day. They motivate me to think creatively, work harder, and help create the change I wish to see in the world." Bustos serves as WEA's Minority Representative to the Board. "Generations of my family members were denied the opportunity to attend college and/or graduate high school because of the color of their skin," she shared. "I value and appreciate my education because I know it is a privilege that so many were denied. Many aspects of our education system still negatively impact students of color and underrepresented demographics. I aspire to be a role model and a voice for these students and their families."
