A 20-year indus- try executive, Martin will focus primarily on business expansion and diversification. He will lead a new effort to develop strategic partnerships, add products and services, and grow the company's presence across Canada. Martin was previously chief strategy officer at Sim International. He brings significant experience in business development and tactical planning in both Canada and the United States. At Sim, he played a critical role in the company's expansion from Canada to the US and its acquisition of grip & lighting supplier PS Production Services and sound specialist Tattersall Sound & Picture, as well as post production facilities Chainsaw, Hollywood, and Post Factory, New York. BRITTNEY WALKER LA creative studio Imaginary Forces has hired Brittney Walker to lead business development. She is an experienced new-business strategist, with a track record in sales. Walker joins Imaginary Forces from Framestore's West Coast base. She'll be focused on sales for live action, emerging technology, VFX, design and rides. During her tenure, she helped develop a client base that included Google, Facebook, Apple, HP, Activision and Intel, to name but a few. In her new role, she will report directly to IF's general manager, Tiffani Manabat. ROBERT LOPEZ, DIANA HIDALGO Twentyfour Seven in Barcelona, Spain, has strengthened its production team with the appointment of two experienced produc- ers: Robert López and Diana Hidalgo. They have more than 20 years of international experience, and as a team, ran Icecream Pictures in Spain for the Asian market. They will now both operate out of 247's Barcelona office, also covering productions for Portugal and Poland. MAX TAYLOR, AMANDA PATTERSON The international creative au- dio network Squeak E. Clean Studios has expanded its Los Angeles team, bringing on Max Taylor as senior produc- er and promoting Amanda Patterson to executive producer. Taylor comes to Squeak E. Clean Studios after spending four years at 20th Century Fox, coordinating music for the hit drama Empire. He is a Chicago- native who grew up amid the music industry, spending his formative years around concerts and musicians with his father as a sound engineer. He studied recording industry at Butler University and later spent five years working across multiple functions of live events. In 2016, he joined the production team on Empire as a music production liaison. Patterson has over a decade of experience in commercial music produc- tion, ranging from original composition to sync and sound design for film and advertising. In her two years with Squeak E. Clean Studios, she has produced work for Facebook, Pepsi, Nike and The North Face. SCOTT FRISKE Scott Friske has rejoined Richmond, VA's Hue&Cry as an executive producer. He returns to the animation and design studio after most recently spending five years at LA post house Shipping + Handling, where he served as EP, running the VFX, design and anima- tion arm of sister company Spot Welders. Friske will be in charge of sales, recruitment and general business management at Hue&Cry, which recently worked on projects for the VA Lottery, Epidiolex and MSNBC. Friske's career includes helping to open the Martin Agency's in-house editorial, animation and social content unit Running With Scissors, as well as helping to expand the agency's capabilities across all creative production and post services. It was that role that led to the original founding of Hue&Cry with founder and executive creative director Magnus Hierta in 2013. JULIA TRAINOR Alibi Music in Los Angeles has promoted Julia Trainor to head of sync A&R, a move that recognizes the expanded role she has successfully assumed over the past several months. Trainor, who will also retain her music supervision duties, joined Alibi last year with an extensive entertainment advertising background and unique perspective in music supervision. Seizing the opportunity to respond more quickly to the shifting creative needs of the company's clients, she began taking a proactive approach to tapping and working with sync talent. Since becoming part of the Alibi team, Trainor has enjoyed a number of accomplishments in the areas of A&R and music supervision. PETER PRICE Chesapeake Systems in Baltimore, MD, has promot- ed Peter Price to vice president, solutions. In this new role, he will provide insight and commitment to growth in solutions offerings to Chesapeake's clients, as well as guide internal growth in processes, systems and people. An industry veteran with 20 years of media tech- nology experience, Price began his career in music and audio technology. He eventually gravitated towards video post production and broadcast systems, with a focus on IT media systems integration. His ca- reer has included engagements with organizations such as Reuters News, CBS Sports Network, HBO, and YouTube, as well as with boutique post facilities in New York and Los Angeles. A lifelong artist and musician, Price's creative back- ground in video editing, still photography, cinematography and color grading has enabled him to facilitate creative clients' needs, balancing both artistic and technical priorities. PAUL ENSBY Senior colorist Paul Ensby is returning to Technicolor's London facility. He is a third generation Technicolor employee, as his grandfather and father both worked in the London studio's film laboratory. Ensby got his start with the company as a 35mm trainee feature grader before becoming a ful- ly-fledged grader, where he worked with directors such as Ridley Scott, Jane Campion, Ken Russell, Neil Jordan, Bill Forsyth and Stephen Frears. He recently reunited with longtime friend, director Asif Kapadia, on the HBO documentary Diego Maradona. He had previously worked on Kapadia's Oscar-winning documentary Amy, and the BAFTA-winning docu- mentary Senna.
