SAG-AFTRA is working on all fronts to assure member safety and to provide relief. 43 IN THIS TOGETHER While members have socially distanced and stayed home to flatten the curve, some contracted COVID-19 and there are those who have tragically succumbed to its complications. 45 MENTAL WELLNESS CHECKUP Remaining physically and mentally active and fit after months in isolation may be a challenge. Please don't hesitate to reach out and seek help if you are feeling overwhelmed. 47 ENTERTAINING, INFORMING, HELPING Many members safe at home found ways to stay connected with an audience — virtually — entertaining and helping raise much needed funds for those in need. 48 LOBBYING CONGRESS FOR RELIEF While the CARES Act is helping many, lobbying continues to make sure SAG-AFTRA members are able to access maximum benefits and stay afloat. 49 BROADCASTERS ON THE FRONTLINE Whether it's working from home, in the studio or out in the field, SAG-AFTRA's broadcast members are playing a critical role during the COVID-19 crisis. 51 MOVING FORWARD WHILE SHELTERING IN PLACE There's nothing more clear right now than how connected we are. Commonalities and shared feelings are reminders that we're all one community on this planet. About this issue … Producing a timely magazine during a constantly evolving situation is challenging. While this special digital-only issue focuses on the union's efforts to protect and support members, many other articles were prepared long before the pandemic suddenly altered our lives. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, many SAG-AFTRA members found ways to reach their audience.
